  • Today, most of the enterprise data is unstructured and it is humanly not possible to analyze all of them considering everyday we have 52 million hours of calls being recorded world over.
  • 94% of companies currently use or plan to use voice as their multi-channel contact center efforts – Source: Aberdeen
  • 90% of conversations still take place via phones despite the increasing popularity of digital services- Source: Gartner

The only way enterprises can mine these data is through speech recognition technology powered by AI and ML. This technology is enabling enterprises with unprecedented level of business insights from customer conversations. Speech recognition technology with AI is helping enterprises not only with actionable insights faster and with better accuracy but also with dramatic improvements in customer experience, sales and collections.

Recommenders: The Route to the Individual | Time: 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM

DR. SARABJOT SINGH ANAND, Co-Founder and Chief Data Scientist at Tatras Data

Recommenders are synonymous with e-commerce and social networks. Amazon, Netflix, Facebook and LinkedIn have all built their business around key features fueled by recommendation. However, Recommenders have much broader applicability and lie at the heart of all personalized interactions making them central to future applications in education, retail, media and more.

For those more algorithmically inclined, recommendation typically means the application of Collaborative filtering, Content based filtering and Matrix factorization. This talk aims to destroy the myth that off the shelf algorithms suffice for all recommendation needs. We work through a number of diverse case studies discussing design challenges and implementations. In particular we discuss how current recommenders are missing one important ingredient – the ability to personalise recommendation strategies to individuals.
